When a baby goes missing, there are fewer explanations that need to be considered than with someone older. Babies don’t leave on their own, or commit suicide, or get into romantic relationships with abusive partners. If a baby vanishes on their own, they either were abducted, wandered off (if they’re capable of moving that much on their own), or someone killed them.

Little Cindy Ray almost certainly falls into either the first or the third category.
